April 24, 2011 Sunday
Saturday after touring Glen Canyon Dam we checked in at Wahweap RV Park & Campground.
Our space. The view from our space.
Wild flowers of the area.
We went into Page to the United Methodist Church for the Easter Sunday Service. It was very nice. The children made pretzel peanut butter nests with marshmallow chicks on them for after the service.
We saw a number of boats in the lake as we drove home from Church.
The Navajo Generating Station burns coal but is so clean it only gives off steam. The coal deposit will last 200 more years. The power generated is more than that produced by Glen Canyon Dan and Hoover Dam combined. WOW!
The spaces at Wahweap RV Park & Campground were large and had a fire ring as well as a barbeque and picnic table to the left of the car. We saw 2 rainbows from our campsite.
We ended up staying 3 nights and used the laundry at the Camp Store/Registration building. It was a nice place to stay.
Looks like your having a great time, I certainly am following you. Lake Powell looks like it would be a boaters dream
