APRIL 21 to MAY 19, 2009
We spent our nights at Rest Areas and McDonalds on our way to Cindy's with Fuel stops at Flying J's.
The weather was good and we were happy to be able to hook up right next to Cindy's trailer.
There were lots of flowers in bloom.....
The old bridge had problems.... One of the ranch riders gave us a hand curving...
I helped cut and screw the cross pieces.... Cindy enjoying the completed bridge..
Note the solar light caps on corner posts..
The roof needed some repairs.... And we put together a storage shed....
Cindy lives on Victory Rose Thoroughbred Ranch so we enjoyed the horses. Lots of foals !
Some of the Stallions............
There are also chickens and goats to keep the horses company.....
And Peacocks to look beautiful and raise the alarm....often over nothing.....
Younger Peacocks with short feathers... Older peacock with 5 to 6 ft long feathers...
An older peacock, side view.... Look at all the beautiful eye feathers!
There are lots of cats on the Ranch...... Cindy has her share... Usually 6 or 7
We watched a lot of videos and went out to eat several times. The three weeks we spent there went quickly. We enjoyed attending church at Dixon United Methodist which is like a second home as we spend some time there every year. Pastor Cathy Morris is the daughter of former West Seattle Pastor , Rev Pruitt who was at Seaview UMC for years.
